We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice as Pharmacy Dispenser to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be able to work well in a team and will support the pharmacist in the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of prescriptions, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high professional standards.
Training: You will be working in a pharmacy and undertaking various duties on the Medical Counter and Dispensary including; serving customers, providing healthcare advice, recommending and signposting services, ordering and checking stock, supporting the dispensing of medication under the supervision of a pharmacist, stock control, labelling, downloading prescriptions, liaising with GP and other healthcare providers in relation to prescription queries. Training will be provided alongside the NVQ level 2 courses - Medical Counter Assistant and Dispensary Assistant.
Duties:
- Provide courteous and professional service to patients and customers
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and rotating stock
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements
- Support the pharmacist with administrative tasks and record keeping
- Promote health services and over-the-counter products where appropriate
- Ensure the dispensary and work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant
