As the Senior Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in driving accurate demand forecasts, optimizing supply plans, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will act as the central point of contact for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, collaborating across sales, marketing, finance, and supply planning teams to deliver impactful results.
Your Impact in This Role
- Forecasting Excellence: Build consensus‑driven forecasts with sales and marketing teams, ensuring alignment in volume and value while improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias.
- Data‑Driven Insights: Gather, analyse, and validate forecast data, leveraging historical trends, market insights, and local requirements to inform decision‑making.
- S&OP Leadership: Lead the S&OP process for Global Specialties, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across stakeholders while aligning demand forecasts with supply plans and business goals.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance, analyse changes, and take proactive actions to meet targets.
- Inventory Optimisation: Work closely with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels, address replenishment needs, and mitigate risks of excess or obsolete stocks.
- Launch Support: Collaborate with Global Launch Management and affiliates to deliver accurate forecasts for new product introductions, ensuring successful launches.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven professional with a strong background in demand planning and S&OP processes. You thrive in a fast‑paced, multinational environment and excel at building relationships across teams to drive alignment and deliver results.
Key Skills and Behaviours
- Experience & Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a multinational environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Expertise in demand planning, forecasting, and S&OP processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel. Strong knowledge of SAP, IBP, or similar ERP systems (desirable). Experience with end‑to‑end planning cycles and scenario planning.
- Skills & Behaviours: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal). Strong problem‑solving and organisational abilities. Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders. Adaptability to change and process improvements. Drive for results and ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in English (another language is an advantage).
