We are seeking an experienced LME Broker with established client relationships and a strong origination focus to join our metals desk. The successful candidate will combine high-quality execution skills with the commercial drive to grow client flow and revenue. Preference will be given to candidates with a portable book of business.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Originate and grow client relationships, introducing new business and expanding existing accounts.
- Execute client orders across LME and CME markets with accuracy, speed, and adherence to best execution standards.
- Provide clients with timely market colour, trade ideas, and insights into metals market developments.
- Monitor market flow and spreads to identify short-term trading opportunities.
- Collaborate with other areas of the business to drive cross-asset opportunities in energy, ags, FX, and other futures and options markets.
- Maintain high compliance standards across all client interactions and daily tasks.
- Support daily desk operations and assist with ad hoc tasks as required.
Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in base metals broking or sales.
- Strong understanding of LME and CME markets, including spread trading, options, averaging, TPA, and ferrous business; precious metals experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to generate client flow or manage a revenue-producing book.
- Proficiency with LMEselect / TT, CME Clearport, and relevant trading and risk systems.
- Strong Excel and Bloomberg skills, along with proficiency in other relevant systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with confidence engaging clients at all levels.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
