We are looking for a hardworking Kitchen Porter (part time, 20 hours per week) to support our kitchen and catering operation at Friends House. You will play a key part in keeping the kitchen clean, safe and well organised, supporting the team during busy service periods, and making sure equipment and crockery are ready when needed. This is a physical, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in high standards and works well in a team.
What you will do:
- Wash and clean crockery, cutlery, equipment and kitchen areas to a high hygiene standard
- Keep pot wash and back-of-house areas organised, clean and safe during service
- Follow safe working practices, including COSHH guidance and manual handling
- Support with deliveries, stock storage and waste/recycling as needed
- Report faults, breakages or safety concerns promptly to the kitchen/BOH lead
- Work flexibly across shifts, supporting the wider team when needed
