We are looking for a Head of Operational Excellence.
At Brit, we believe that the uncertainty of the future should never stand in the way of progress. We exist to help people and businesses face the future and thrive. We are change-makers enabled by a global workforce who collaborate to deliver a risk service. Our team is empowered to help our customers not only to survive the risks they face but to stay on the front foot and keep moving forward.
In this role, you will lead the charge in transforming how we work across Brit. You will set the vision for operational excellence, partnering with teams across the business to simplify processes, remove friction, and ensure we are making smart, data-led decisions every day. You will bring people with you through change, acting as a trusted internal consultant who can quickly understand how things work today and design pragmatic improvements for tomorrow.
You will use your deep understanding of operational data to spot opportunities, redesign workflows, and bring them to life through clear metrics and reporting that everyone can get behind. You will be hands-on in delivering transformation projects from end to end, ensuring they are aligned to our strategy and that they land well with the people who use them. Another part of this role will be to champion Lean and continuous improvement mindsets, building capability across the organisation so that operational excellence becomes part of how we do things, not a one-off project.
You will balance pace and pragmatism with good risk management and governance, ensuring we do the right thing for our customers, regulators, and each other. You will communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at every level up to the executive committee, turning complex issues into simple stories and creating space for teams to co-create solutions. You will also lead and develop a small team, creating a collaborative, high-performing culture where people are motivated, supported, and able to do their best work.
If you are keen to bring your skillset to a flexible, fun, and passionate environment, then the Head of Operational Excellence role at Brit is where you belong.
We welcome everyone wholeheartedly. We have a truly diverse, genuinely inclusive work environment. We comfortably and confidently bring our whole selves to work because we know we will be respected, valued, and accepted whoever we are. Our Employee Resource groups are safe spaces for people to share their experiences, aspirations, and suggestions about how we do things.
Accessibility: We are located in the Leadenhall Building on Leadenhall Street (EC3V 4AB) and are situated on floors 17, 18, and 39. All of our floors are accessible by lift, and there are building staff on hand to point you in the right direction. The closest train/underground/DLR links are Liverpool Street Station (7 mins), Bank Station (6 mins), Fenchurch Street Station (6 mins), and Aldgate Station (7 mins). The nearest bus stop is St Mary Axe (Stop LR or Z), which is located just outside the building. If you have any other questions regarding accessibility, please ask.
