Simulator Engineer / Operator - based at the Rescue Hoist Training Centre at Lee On Solent. We are currently seeking a full time, permanent Simulator Technician at our new Rescue Hoist Training Centre in Lee On Solent.
Purpose of role:
- Responsible for maintenance and operation of the Rescue Hoist Trainer simulator and associated training devices to ensure availability for Aircrew training.
Areas of responsibilities will include:
- Operation of the Rescue Hoist Training system
- Conversion of the simulator and training environment to ensure suitable for the training being undertaken
- Operation of the helicopter movement and auxiliaries
- Operation of the winch
- Maintenance and repair of Simulator systems as required by the Company and OEMs in accordance with relevant regulations & appropriate equipment manuals (including both preventative and corrective maintenance) alongside system administration
- Completion of the mandatory daily checks
- Control of the systems required to run the simulators and rescue hoist
- Compliance with the appropriate maintenance and procedure Manuals
- Read and understand the unserviceability, unserviceability recording & reporting processes
- Update of the simulator maintenance and procedures manuals as appropriate
- Reporting of unserviceability’s and faults
- Plan the repair of reported faults as applicable
- To assume appropriate responsibilities when requested during supervisor’s absence
- Communication with clients, contractors and training team regarding serviceability and bookings
- Maintenance and testing of the hoist and environmental systems
- Comply with the quality standards required by Bristow Helicopters Ltd
- General husbandry of the RHT facility and additional roles and responsibilities as necessary
Knowledge and Experience:
- Candidates must be computer literate
- Proven understanding of fault-finding principles and corrective measures techniques
- Mechanical or electrical background and an appropriate level of technical knowledge (changing hardware components)
- Knowledge of schematic drawings would be advantageous
- Operational experience is desirable
- Comfortable and confident working at heights
