We’re looking for an IT Project Manager to join a large public sector organisation on an initial six month FTC, supporting the delivery of two existing technology projects. Both projects are already underway and involve a mixture of digital, operational and technical change, so the focus will be on quickly understanding the current position, taking ownership of the delivery plans and ensuring the remaining work is successfully completed.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, technical specialists and third-party suppliers, you’ll coordinate project activity, manage plans, risks, issues and dependencies, track actions and blockers and provide clear updates through the relevant governance channels. You don’t need to be a technical specialist, but you should have experience managing technology or digital projects and be comfortable working with technical teams and suppliers to keep delivery on track.

This would suit a well rounded Project Manager with experience across IT, digital or business change projects who is comfortable picking up existing pieces of work and working autonomously. Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills are important, alongside a practical, delivery-focused approach.
