The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Based at our Lee on Solent base, responsible for all aspects of ensuring that aircraft parts are stored, picked and shipped in an accurate and timely manner to end customers. Storage of parts in accordance with specific criteria, cycle counting and accurate picking and processing to ensure excellent customer service provision and inventory accuracy. To maintain a clear segregation within the warehouse environment of serviceable and unserviceable items. Conduct goods in inspections and onward shipping to the Falklands location primarily and other locations as required.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive Incoming parts
  • Understand and Follow all Inspection training and local manuals
  • Receive items and check correct certification
  • Check for damage on outer packaging
  • Check internal package or item for any physical sign of damage
  • Receive part in local ERP system
  • Complete Annual and Bi-annual courses to keep licence current
  • Store incoming parts:
    • Check for outstanding customer demand.
    • Put away received parts in appropriate bin location in accordance with storage requirements.
    • Ensure stock area is kept clean, tidy and clearly identified to facilitate stock picking and counting processes.
    • Ensure ERP system is updated with relevant information necessary for accurate stocks.
  • Issue parts:
    • Receive requests to action customer demand through ERP order or written communication.
    • Pick stock from stock using FIFO method.
    • Process demand on ERP system.
  • Stock checks:
    • Perform daily Cycle Count Stock checks to maintain optimum inventory accuracy.
  • Stock Management:
    • Monitoring of ERP reports and proactive checks to minimise stocking errors or inaccuracies.
    • Quarantine of discrepant parts where necessary.
    • Monitoring of shelf-life expiry dates and action within agreed procedures.
  • Dangerous Goods Packing:
    • Completing full regulatory dangerous goods training for relevant modes of transport.
    • Packing of Dangerous Goods products and creation of documentation prior to shipping by Air / Sea / Road transport.
  • Shipping:
    • Organize the shipping and handling of goods to Brize, Bicester and Marchward for the Falklands operation.
  • Forklift Driving:
    • Loading and unloading of vehicles and stock put away and retrieval from storage racking.
    • Airside Driving completed via local Airport authorities for van and forklift movements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Qualifications:
    • Aviation Supply Chain, or similar experience
    • Forklift Licence – B1 (counterbalance up to 5 tonnes)
    • Dangerous Goods packing (air / sea / road) certificate desirable but not essential (training to be provided for the right candidate)
  • Experience:
    • Experience of working in a dynamic, challenging organisation, able to identify risk and deal with issues in an effective manner;
    • Experience working in a stores environment
    • Understanding and knowledge of ERP systems
    • Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite including MS Office (Excel)
  • Skills:
    • A good communicator, able to develop relationships and who is organised and analytical;
    • Adopt a proactive approach to managing work, capable of developing robust procedures;
    • Ability to articulate, summarize, and present information clearly to audiences with different backgrounds and at different levels of an organization
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and coordinate resources
    • Ability to interface well with leadership, management and internal & external clients
    • Ability to promote tolerance and inclusion among diverse groups and recognition of multiple views
    • Ability to assign tasks and responsibilities to others providing clear instruction and direction.
    • Weighing alternatives, considering potential impact and then being resolute in the decisions taken
    • Problem analysis and problem solving ability is required to ensure the most appropriate solutions are determined.
