We invite applications for the position of Storeperson / Labourer based at our UKSAR Seasonal Base Oban. The seasonal base will be operational April to October and the role will be required to be based at Oban before, during, and after the peak season to help set up the base prior to operation, support during operation and shut down at the end of the season ensuring base security and mandatory testing is completed. The bulk of the off-season time will be supporting the other UKSAR bases, with travel expected as part of the role (at company expense). The support to the other bases will be to cover leave/absence and support with stock checks. The seasonal Storeperson will also complete remote goods in inspections for the SAR bases.

To carry out the duties of SAR hangar labourer and Storeperson. While working in accordance with the Bristow Code of Business Integrity and Core Values to:

Seasonal Operations: Role operates on a 6-month seasonal basis at the designated base.
Travel & Flexibility: When the base is offline, the role requires availability to travel to support other supply chain operations across the UK and potentially Europe.
Remote Support: Ability to assist with Goods In tasks remotely for other Bristow locations.
Cross-Location Support: Out of season, the role will:
- Support other stores activities across the UK.
- Provide holiday cover for other stores teams.
- Assist with stock checks and any additional tasks that help maintain operational continuity.
- Potentially assist with European operations as required.
General Contribution: Expected to contribute to other supply chain functions as needed during downtime.
Key responsibilities
Storeperson
- Opening and closing Stores on Seasonal base as required; ensuring that the stores function is operating efficiently prior to seasonal operation.
- Act as base caretaker during off season, ensuring facility is maintained, tested and secure throughout the off-season.
- Running and maintaining the aircraft line store. This will include ensuring that aircraft parts are correctly stored in line with Company procedure taking into account maintenance and inspection schedules.
- Booking aircraft parts in/out, following Company procedures; ensuring accurate stock records are maintained and Company stock holding targets are achieved.
- Packing and shipping aircraft or non-aircraft parts and equipment; restricting any risk of damage or loss to these parts.
- Running the non-aircraft consumable store achieving Company standards and compliance with process.
- Any other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager as required.
Hanger Labourer
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness standards of the hangar and the maintenance area of the hangar.
- Driving company vehicles for delivery and collection duties.
- Once trained, and signed off clean the aircraft ensuring that Company standards are maintained.
- Using the tractor on base to tow the Duty Aircraft out of the hangar ensuring that there are no delays to the aircraft leaving the SAR base.
- Any other tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: (minimum education requirements, key skills, and experience)
Qualifications:
- Current Driving License
- Holding a fork lift truck license would be an advantage.
Skills:
- Previous experience and understanding of SAP would be advantageous.
- Storage and handling of dangerous goods preferred but not essential.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
- Intermediate excel ability would be an advantage but not essential.
