Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming parts, follow inspection training and local manuals, check correct certification, check damage, record in ERP.
  • Store incoming parts: assess customer demand, put away parts in appropriate bin, keep stock area clean and identified for picking and counting, update ERP with accurate stock information.
  • Issue parts: receive requests via ERP or written communication, pick stock using FIFO, process demand in ERP.
  • Perform daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor ERP reports and conduct proactive checks to minimise stocking errors, quarantine discrepant parts, monitor shelf‑life expiry dates and act within agreed procedures.
  • Complete dangerous goods training, pack dangerous goods products and create documentation before shipping by air, sea or road.
  • Organise shipping and handling of goods to Brize, Bicester and Marchward for the Falklands operation.
  • Load and unload vehicles and stock, retrieve from storage racking, drive forklift (B1 counterbalance up to 5 tonnes).
  • Drive via local airport authorities for van and forklift movements (airside driving).

Qualifications

  • Qualifications or experience in Aviation Supply Chain or similar.
  • Forklift licence – B1 (counterbalance up to 5 tonnes).
  • Dangerous goods packing certificate desirable but can be trained.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, challenging organisation, able to identify risk and deal with issues effectively.
  • Experience working in a stores environment.
  • Understanding and knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Strong communicator, organised, analytical, proactive approach to managing work, develop robust procedures, articulate and present information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and coordinate resources.
  • Interface well with leadership, management and internal & external clients, promote tolerance and inclusion among diverse groups.
  • Problem analysis and problem solving ability required to determine appropriate solutions.
