Our institution is seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill the following position based in Machakos Branch.

Responsibilities
  • Performing authorized dental procedures including cleaning teeth, removing plagues, replacing missing teeth, filling cavities, rebuilding broken teeth and removing severely damaged teeth in a safe and sterile environment while providing quality dental experience during the procedure.
  • Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures.
  • Conducting dental health education to patients.
  • Offering counselling to patients who require reassurance.
  • Managing inventory of the equipment and supplies at the dental unit, including preparing orders as needed to avoid stock outs.
  • Implementing and adhering to infection prevention protocols including autoclaving instruments after use, cleaning the dental procedure’s space and storage of the clean instruments.
  • Analysing x-rays and evaluating dental needs as necessary including medical history review and dental charting.
  • Treating and helping to prevent gum disease.
  • Providing instruction on dental care and writing prescriptions for patients.
  • Recording keeping and Inventory.
  • Maintaining dental files for all patients.
  • Writing weekly/monthly reports.
Qualifications
  • Valid Practicing License
  • Registered by Oral Health Association of Kenya
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a COHO
  • Excellent computer skills
Education
  • Diploma in Community Health
