Bristol Zoological Society, the conservation and education charity that runs and operates Bristol Zoo Project (previously Wild Place Project), higher education programmes and conservation projects across the world, is recruiting a Visitor Experience Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Visitor Experience team.

As a key member of our Visitor Experience team, you\’ll play a vital role in creating a warm and memorable experience for everyone who visits Bristol Zoo. This is a front-facing, dynamic role that combines customer service, administration, and communication across multiple channels.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Being a welcoming and enthusiastic first point of contact for all visitors and members, delivering exceptional service at every opportunity.

  • Supporting day-to-day reception operations and completing a range of administrative tasks for both the team and the wider organisation.

  • Managing school group bookings, and promoting and processing memberships, experiences, and event sales.

  • Accurately handling and maintaining direct debit payments, membership records, and other visitor-related transactions.

  • Operating our busy switchboard and handling enquiries via phone, email, and social media in a professional and timely manner.

  • Juggling a varied workload – working both independently and collaboratively to meet team objectives and deliver a high-quality visitor experience.
