Bristol Zoological Society, the conservation and education charity that runs and operates Bristol Zoo Project, higher education programmes and conservation projects across the world, is recruiting two Seasonal Engagement Presenters. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Public Engagement & Learning team.

The Public Engagement & Learning team leads an innovative programme of formal and informal engagement, including daily animal talks, trails and activities. You will be confident in delivering fun and inspiring talks and presentations and have a passion for conservation and the natural world, including British wildlife. You will enjoy spending your days outdoors, whatever the weather, and feel energised and enthusiastic about engaging with visitors of all ages.

You will need to be proactive, friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, able to respond to a wide variety of audiences, and equally happy talking to a family group on a wet day or addressing a large audience on the busiest days. As Bristol Zoo Project operates seven days a week, you will expect to work regular weekends on a rota.

With a new strategy in place to create a world-class Bristol Zoo and conservation and sustainability at its heart, the new Bristol Zoo Project will offer spacious, modern facilities, significant growth in our conservation and education work, and an innovative and exciting visitor experience. The role will help to realise our vision of saving wildlife together, and you will be involved in supporting our transformation programme – driving visitor numbers at Bristol Zoo Project and excitement as plans for the new Zoo progress.
