Pay: $25 - $30 per hour plus commission.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Develops, originates and tracks all residential loan production with a primary focus on community reinvestment lending in an outside sales capacity within an assigned territory. Supports, and adheres to, the Bank's regulatory compliance objectives.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position focuses on identifying community needs and processing new loan applications, primarily for low to moderate income (LMI) homebuyers.
- Originates residential loan products with a concentration in Community Reinvestment product lines within an assigned territory to meet sales and service goals.
- Customarily meets with applicants, non-profit organizations and takes applications away from the Bank's offices or other fixed locations.
- Serves as liaison between broker, borrower and Bank during application process and through closing.
- Reviews processes to generate business and ways to render support between departments.
- Establishes and maintains contact with referral sources such as real estate brokers, attorneys, builders, and other related professionals as an outside sales representative, within the geographic territory in order to promote and develop Bank business and to provide information on any new programs or procedures implemented by the Bank.
- Participates with the Bank Charitable Foundation in local community and business organizations to promote the Bank.
- Conducts periodic educational seminars for potential borrowers and brokers.
- Keeps abreast of regulatory and competitive developments within the area of residential lending.
- Attends relevant courses and seminars.
- Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Reviews credit reports, income statements, and other documentation to determine a borrower’s creditworthiness and recommend appropriate loan products.
- Maintains an acceptable registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), as well as the unique identifier assigned by the NMLS.

- Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Established relationships with local referral networks.
- Multilingual capabilities, including fluency in other languages spoken within the community, are a significant plus.
- 2-5 years of community outreach, banking or consumer lending experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of cultural contexts.
- Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.

Establishes own work plan and performs work independently as an outside salesperson within scope of established Bank policy and procedures. Generally, refers problems to manager where clarification of policies and procedures is needed.
