Join our team as a Metering Surveyor, working in and around the Bristol area. Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a salary of £27,566 - £30,344 depending on experience, with a range of company benefits.
In this role, you will play a big part in enabling our customers to monitor their water consumption and spending, as part of our free water meter offering. You will be out and about in the local community carrying out site surveys (both internal and external) and installing water meters.
What you will be doing:
- Visiting customer premises to survey water supply and assess appropriate locations to fit a meter.
- Engaging with customers.
- Fitting water meters in existing stop-tap boxes.
- Carrying out water supply route checks.
- Tracing underground pipes and utilities.
- Using mobile technology to accurately record job information.
- Providing assistance, advice and accurate information to Network Maintenance contractors.
- Attending team meetings as necessary.
What we are looking for:
- A full UK driving licence.
- Computer literate - familiar with basic software packages.
- A good understanding of customer service.
- The ability and confidence to work on your own initiative, but also as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake in-house training.
- Confidence to make decisions in order to complete tasks with a methodical approach.
Desirable:
- Water Hygiene and NRSWA units 1 and 2.
- An understanding of risk assessments, such as working in the highway and hazardous items.
