We currently have an opportunity for a Water Hygiene Technician to join our team working in Bournemouth/Southwest/Hampshire. This is a fixed‑term contract for 12 months with a salary of £27,000–£29,000.
About the role: As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will carry out legionella control tasks for our customers, including water temperature checks, water system dosing, shower head and TMV servicing and other water hygiene tasks. Most sites are based in the South of England.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake regular temperature checks, flushing and sampling monitoring; keep records on customers’ properties and sites.
- Undertake more complex cleaning and disinfecting of hot and cold‑water systems and cooling systems.
- Undertake TMV and shower head servicing and maintenance.
- Fault finding on customer sites; implement corrective actions for first‑time fixes.
- Work with the scheduling team to ensure all jobs are efficiently planned, completed and loaded correctly onto mobile equipment.
What you need:
- Effective communication with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to raise missed tasks and compliance concerns promptly.
- Education to GCSE, grade A‑C or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Level 2 NVQ Plumbing desirable.
- Water Hygiene knowledge desirable; no prior experience required as full training will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence.
Additional information: The successful candidate will be required to pass a mandatory DBS check as part of onboarding.
