We’re looking for a Wastewater Environmental Protection Technician (Chemical Dosing) to join our high-performing team across the West Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in.
What you'll be doing:
- Visiting wastewater treatment sites across your area (company vehicle provided)
- Monitoring and optimising chemical dosing to ensure compliant effluent
- Analysing chemical use data, identifying trends, and driving improvements
- Checking, cleaning, and calibrating monitoring equipment and instrumentation
- Investigating dosing performance and resolving issues promptly
- Supporting local teams with seasonal adjustments and set point optimisation
- Monitoring influent and effluent quality and reporting accurate results
- Identifying and investigating any breaches in phosphate or metal parameters
- Reporting on asset condition and ensuring timely fault resolution
- Supporting risk assessments and safe operation of dosing activities
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (A–C or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science
- Experience in a scientific, operational, or environmental role (preferred)
- A full, clean driving licence
- Knowledge or experience of chemical dosing or phosphate removal processes (advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- A proactive, team‑oriented approach
- A genuine passion for environmental protection
