Want to spend one week of your summer doing something genuinely meaningful – while building confidence, skills and hands-on care experience?
Newman Holiday Trust runs fun, residential holidays for children with disabilities and additional needs, and we’re looking for volunteers (18+) to join our 2026 teams.
You’ll be paired 1-to-1 with a child for the week, helping them enjoy activities like swimming, trips out, games and crafts, while supporting day-to-day needs such as dressing, mealtimes and encouragement. You’ll live on-site as part of a small, friendly volunteer team, sharing responsibility, learning together and creating an amazing week for the children.
No experience needed – just empathy, energy and reliability. We provide training, safeguarding guidance and full support throughout.
You’ll gain confidence, teamwork and communication skills, take on meaningful responsibility, and develop practical care experience that’s valuable for healthcare, education and people-focused careers.
