Whether you’re freshening up a space at Brentry or lending a hand in one of our shops, it’s practical, hands-on work that helps keep everything running smoothly - and makes a real difference behind the scenes.
Why we want you
To support the facilities team with small practical tasks around the Brentry site and in selected shops. Based at the Hospice site in Brentry, and at selected local shops as determined by the facilities team. You will be working under the guidance & support of the Facilities Team.
What you will be doing
- Carrying out maintenance related tasks, including: sweeping and tidying, assisting maintenance team with tasks, painting and decorating, changing lightbulbs, basic plumbing including changing washers
The skills you need
- Experience of basic maintenance tasks related to the upkeep of a building
- Good listening and communication skills
- Have access to transport and be willing to travel to selected shops around the north of Bristol
- Enthusiastic, reliable and committed
- Open to learning, know your own limits of skills, competences and responsibilities and work within them and know when to ask for help
- Flexibility
- Well presented, friendly and polite
- Prepared to work as part of a team
- Able to work on your own within boundaries
