Bristol Sport is a unique sports business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol City FC, Bristol Bears Rugby, Bristol Flyers Basketball, and their respective community charities.

JOB PURPOSE

The Digital Executive will play a pivotal role in the production, publication, and maintenance of high-quality, optimized content across the sporting group’s suite of websites and apps. This role involves handling enquiries, troubleshooting problems for internal and external customers, and staying abreast of key digital and data trends in the sports and entertainment verticals. The Digital Executive will also be responsible for proactively researching and managing digital and data software projects, ensuring effective project management across multiple initiatives.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Content and Web Management: Produce, publish, and maintain high quality, optimized content on the sporting group’s websites and apps.
  • Analytics and Optimization: Utilize tools such as Google Analytics, Paid Socials, app‑store optimization, SEO, and WordPress to enhance digital performance.
  • Research and Trend Analysis: Proactively research key digital and data trends in the sports and entertainment verticals, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Project Management: Manage digital and data projects across multiple initiatives, ensuring successful execution delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KPIs)

  • Website/App Performance Metrics: Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to website and app performance, including traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Digital Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of digital efforts through metrics such as click‑through rates, conversion rates, and social media engagement. Work to commercialise our digital audiences, converting “unknown” visitors to “known” users.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure timely and successful completion of digital and data software projects within established timelines.
  • Digital Innovation: Stay informed of all digital innovation particularly within mobile, social media and video (e.g., evolving metadata algorithms).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Previous experience in managing WordPress Websites and hands‑on experience in HTML and CSS.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
