Position Summary
This global role will report to the VP, Global Logistics Solutions (GLS) and will work as a key member of the GLS Leadership Team. The incumbent will proactively recognize and address any technical, compliance, and regulatory issues associated with systems, processes, and product quality. This role is responsible for all matters pertaining to primary logistics including Intercompany and 3rd party Distributors Order Management, Global Transportation, Temperature Control, Sustainability, Network Development, and Global Compliance across all modalities and Clinical Logistics. This leader is accountable for developing global crossâfunctional strategies, programs, and policies to ensure a successful and compliant supply chain, providing leadership and direction to Global teams based in the USA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC, ensuring their voice is represented across the corporation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Strategic vision by effectively communicating the shared vision of GLS Global Services.
- Act as the single point of contact to Biologics, Pharmaceuticals, & Cell Therapy Site General Managers, Clinical Supply Chain sites and External Manufacturing organizations for ongoing and adâhoc distribution topics.
- Coach and develop a team of highâperforming employees, including maintaining appropriate training for their GDP activities and corporate requirements.
- Lead Global Transportation including 4PL and Supplier Relationship Management of Global Transportation providers, ensuring Global Logistics Security for our products, managed through Logistics Incident Reporting and Trending.
- Develop focused Supplier Strategy for Transportation, ensuring Global Services acts as a strategic liaison to the sites (including raw material sites i.e. CT Vector), ExM, CSO, and API groups.
- Lead Temperature Control: Protect product and reduce temperature excursions, maintain compliance & quality to meet or exceed regulatory expectations, and improve efficiency & performance by driving standardization, cost savings, and agility.
- Lead Sustainability: Lead the roadmap, implementation and reporting of all Scope 3 activities in the area of logistics for BMS. Set Center of Excellence best practices leveraging technology and interactions with strategic Logistics Service Providers in alignment with Corporate.
- Lead Network Development: Define and support regions to implement the optimal Logistics Network strategies including inâmarket DCs, supplyâpoint warehouses, and overflow warehousing for the internal/external manufacturing sites including longâterm strategy development and shortâterm solutions for changes in business requirements. Leverage 4PL and Supplier Relationship Management in alignment with Procurement to find innovative and costâeffective solutions for the warehousing network.
- Lead Intercompany and 3rd Party Distributors order management including ExM 3rd Party Customer Relationships & Contracts and shipments execution, Operations on behalf of ExM at 3PL facilities and Transportation Providers, as well as onboarding new partners and execution of global activities impacting the ExM and internal network changes (Divestitures, M&A, Business Model Changes, etc.).
- Drive endâtoâend Supply Chain optimization and agility and ensure continuity of supply of products to BMS Markets & Customers.
- Invest in creating and developing strong relationships with BMS markets and key stakeholders to ensure a customerâfocused orientation and alignment.
- Oversee primary transportation management, including freight forwarders and trucking company relationships and monitoring, cost control, issue resolution.
- Coordinate stakeholders for supply from supply points to market DCs, CMOs and internal sites.
- Provide input to Procurement to support RFP, contract renewals, negotiations with 3PL vendors.
- Ensure GMP & GDP & Internal/External Controls.
- Develop, execute and maintain Business Continuity Plans for all intercompany operations.
- Ensure work performed by teams is accurate, timely, efficient, and compliant with corporate policies, SOPs, cGxPs, and other applicable guidelines.
- Be a designee for Vice President, Global Logistics Solutions as needed to make decisions on behalf of VP, approve documents on behalf of the VP, and represent the VP as an appointee in meetings, forums, and projects as agreed.
Travel Requirements: As required ~ 30% of role.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
- 15 years of experience in Market Supply Operations in the biotech/pharma industry, clinical logistics, cell therapy logistics and/or comparable.
- Ability to communicate with impact and influence at the executive level, including General Managers, while demonstrating broad business acumen and strategic insight.
- Proven ability to resolve complex conflicts and make sound, informed decisions under timeâsensitive conditions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing crossâfunctional stakeholders, including logistics operations, supplier management, and highâimpact negotiations.
- Strong business acumen with exposure to customer relationship management and a focus on driving value and operational excellence.
- Digital dexterity identifying and implementing a number of different system solutions, deploying ML/AI and having managed transformations that included leveraging technology and data improvements.

Compensation Overview
$278,770 - $337,809
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a fullâtime employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, jobârelated knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

- Based on eligibility, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.
- All global employees full and partâtime who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.
