As a Formulation Scientist within our Oral Product Development group, you'll be at the heart of turning BMS's most promising small molecule drug candidates into real, manufacturable medicines - from first-in-human all the way through to commercial readiness.

Day to day, you'll be designing and developing oral formulations, solving the complex challenges of bioavailability and stability, and working closely with colleagues across Drug Product, Analytical, API, Quality, and Regulatory functions - both at BMS sites and with external manufacturing partners (CMOs).

You won't just be executing tasks. You'll be contributing to strategy, shaping how drug products are developed and controlled, and leaving a visible mark on the projects you're assigned to.

What You'll Actually Be Doing and Why It Matters

• Designing and developing formulations for clinical and commercial use. This means your work will directly inform what goes into a clinical trial. Real patients. Real impact.
• Evaluating bioavailability, stability, and processability solutions. You'll tackle some of the most technically interesting problems in pharmaceutical development and build a depth of expertise that's genuinely rare in the industry.

• Contributing to drug development process. You'll get exposure to how scientific data supports the regulatory journey of a drug, building a foundation for understanding the end-to-end development process over time.

What You'll Bring

• A degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (BS + 4 years' experience, MS + 2 years, or PhD with relevant pharmaceutical development background).
• A proven ability to design experiments, solve problems, and troubleshoot when things don't go to plan.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - you can translate complex science into clear, compelling narratives.
• A collaborative mindset with the confidence to lead workgroups and guide junior colleagues.
• The drive to work independently and the self-awareness to know when to bring others in.
