Job Details
This permanent role offers a structured Monday‑to‑Friday schedule, from 8 am to 4 pm, with the added perk of an early finish on a rota basis every Friday. The starting salary is £25,000 per annum, with the potential to increase to £27,200 as you demonstrate your competence and grow within the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, booking, and inspecting goods
- Correctly labelling and storing goods
- Kit picking and material issuing
- Packing and labelling finished goods
- Conducting inventory counts and stock rotation
- Dispatching finished items promptly
- Producing all necessary export documentation
- Maintaining accurate stock levels in both physical and MRP systems
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a Stores department or similar goods‑in/goods‑out environment
- Strong numeracy skills and knowledge of stock counts
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and some familiarity with MRP/ERP systems
- Manual handling experience
- Knowledge of export documentation (training can be provided)
- A valid driving licence for travel between two local sites
- An FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach) is desirable, but training can be provided
- Familiarity with quality inspection equipment (verniers, micrometers, etc.) is beneficial but not essential
