We are currently recruiting for a REACH Compliance Manager to support chemical regulatory compliance and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities within a leading engineering and aerospace environment.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will act as a key point of contact for REACH matters, supporting the REACH Manager and representing the local site within the wider REACH team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact between the local site and the UK REACH Manager.
  • Provide support, information and updates to the wider REACH team.
  • Represent the local site within REACH meetings and activities.
  • Support the REACH Manager with their responsibilities.
  • Identify and assess REACH-related risks and potential issues.
  • Work with the local Risk Management team to identify ways to reduce and manage risks.
  • Support the HSE Manager with wider HSE-related tasks and activities.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in REACH / chemical compliance /environmental compliance who is comfortable working with different teams and managing information.

You will need to be organised, analytical and able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Key Skills

  • Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
  • Experience of working within the chemical industry or authorities; experience in regulatory affairs is a must
  • Extensive knowledge of UK/EU policy on Chemicals, especially REACHExcellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Strong capacity to communicate with people with different technical backgrounds
  • Ability to lead discussions and build consensus
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills Excellent English (written and spoken)
  • Adaptability to work to tight deadlines and to handle multiple priorities
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills
