We are recruiting for an experienced Production Leader to join a successful manufacturing business in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Production Leader to take ownership of a production area, lead a team, and drive performance, quality and continuous improvement. The successful Production Leader will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a production team
- Monitor productivity, quality and KPI performance
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
- Manage holidays, overtime and absence within the team
- Promote a strong health and safety culture
- Ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
- Liaise with internal departments to achieve operational targets
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Previous experience as a Production Leader, Team Leader, Supervisor or similar leadership role
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
- Computer literate
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 qualification
- Leadership or Supervisory qualification
- SAP knowledge
- Lean manufacturing experience
