The Opportunity
Are you a seasoned Process Improvement Engineer who can read and interpret mechanical drawings and work across all areas of design and production to make recommendations for change? We can offer a varied and interesting role in a niche automotive engineering environment in the heart of the Devon countryside. This role will be predominantly office based, utilising your CAD, data and continuous improvement knowledge.
Job Responsibilities
- To plan, direct and coordinate the design, manufacture and modification of production within the internal and external Supply Chain while monitoring performance and implementing continuous improvement incentives.
- Design and review models and drawings using 3D CAD to provide clear production instructions and improvements to the operations department.
- Complete all associated administration of the end to end process of drawing release in order to implement best practice and continuous improvement.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by making recommendations over the removal of waste from the processes.
Skills Required
- Proven capability of creating detailed 3D models and accurate engineering drawings of components and assemblies.
- Experienced within Process Improvement or Continuous Improvement within an engineering environment.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels including suppliers and customers.
- Good report writing and project information recording.
- Minimum of HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
