We are currently recruiting for a Premises Manager to join a busy secondary school on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Premises Manager who enjoys maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented school environment.
As the Premises Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring it is safe, secure and operating efficiently.
Key responsibilities:- Opening and closing the school each day
- Acting as the school's keyholder
- Ensuring all visitors are signed in and out correctly
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the school
- Supervising and supporting the Apprentice Caretaker
- Conducting routine health and safety checks
- Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
- Maintaining the security, cleanliness and upkeep of the premises
- Supporting the school with all other general Premises Manager duties as required
- Previous experience as a Premises Manager, Site Manager or Caretaker
- Good practical maintenance and repair skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is essential
