We are looking for a driven Operations Manager to join our dynamic leadership team in an established global distribution company in Middleton, Manchester (M24).

Salary up to £55,000 per annum & Company bonus.

Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30.

35 days annual leave (including bank holidays).

As an Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations across multiple departments within our site. You will lead a team of Supervisors and their reports, ensuring the smooth delivery of service, cost control, and operational efficiency. With a focus on data-driven decisions, you will implement process improvements, manage change, and uphold the highest standards of safety and performance.

As the operations evolve, you’ll play a key role in leading teams through change, ensuring smooth transitions during process redesign, structural updates, and the implementation of new technologies. The Operations Manager will be at the forefront of driving automation and digital transformation within the site, introducing and embedding tools that improve speed, accuracy, and capacity.

Ideally, you will be an experienced Operations Manager in a high-volume, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) operational environment. Passion for building and developing teams, successfully implementing change across multiple departments, and leading cross-functional projects.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop operational teams, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
  • Own performance metrics and KPI delivery across efficiency, cost, and service.
  • Ensure operational plans are executed effectively and in line with health and safety standards.
  • Build and deploy departmental strategies to support business growth.
  • Identify and lead process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, IT, Logistics and other stakeholders to align resources and priorities.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, control costs, and identify areas for efficiency gains.
  • Drive employee engagement, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety and security regulations.
  • Deliver regular reporting to senior leadership on operational performance and team development.
