Office Administrator Assignment: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Pay Rate: £14.95 per hour

Location: On-site

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, compassionate and adaptable Office Administrator to join a team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful individual will be empathetic, and have a warm approach when speaking with the customers. This is a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same. You will provide essential administrative and customer service support, helping to ensure prescriptions are processed efficiently and customers receive a friendly and professional service. The role involves communicating with customers and healthcare professionals, and nurses. As you may be supporting vulnerable individuals, a warm, patient and sympathetic approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and managing orders accurately and efficiently via email and over the phone
  • Handling incoming calls and responding to customer enquiries
  • Managing emails and correspondence using Outlook
  • Providing excellent customer service and administrative support
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals, and nurses regarding prescriptions
  • Requesting prescriptions when required
  • Completing prescription hand-cutting duties
  • Assisting colleagues with other tasks and duties as required
  • Adapting to changing priorities and supporting the wider team where needed

Skills & Experience

  • Previous customer service and/or administration experience is beneficial
  • Prescription endorsement experience would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Full training will be provided
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A warm, caring and sympathetic approach, particularly when dealing with vulnerable customers
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide support where required
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond to changing daily requirements
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Non-smoker
