We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer with expertise in crane maintenance, lifting equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading company in the industrial engineering sector, providing technical support, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for clients.

This Service Engineer role is full time and permanent working Monday to Friday 7am-4.30pm offering a salary of £35,360 per annum (£17/hour) + Overtime at time and a half, and a company car!

Key Responsibilities as a Service Engineer:
  • Perform routine maintenance on cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out system upgrades and modifications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, or similar role in industrial machinery or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • IPAF Licence and NPORS (or equivalent) in lifting equipment preferred.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Comfortable working at heights and towing trailers (training provided).
