We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical) to join our engineering team within a fastāpaced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in maintaining equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting site performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance
- Responding to internal customer priorities to meet production targets and minimise operational downtime
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with company safe working practices, including risk assessments and HSE regulations
- Understanding and working to company performance standards at all times
- Accurately recording all maintenance activity within Agility CMMS
- Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the introduction of new working practices
- Supporting the site Project Team as required
- Attending all necessary internal and external training courses in line with business needs
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated and technically capable engineer with strong faultāfinding skills and experience in a manufacturing setting.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
- Timeāserved apprenticeship in an engineering discipline (minimum Level 3)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- Experience of preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing equipment
- Proven ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment
- Wellādeveloped analytical, faultāfinding, and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic (fluid power) systems
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems, with an understanding of control systems, PLCs, and automation being advantageous
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and schematics
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
