We’re recruiting an Electronics Assembly Operator for a globally respected manufacturer of ultrasonic anemometers and weather stations used in meteorological and commercial markets worldwide. Their products are trusted for accuracy, reliability and quality – and that starts with the people on the production floor.

As an Electronics Assembly Operator, you’ll be part of a friendly, skilled production environment where quality comes first. You’ll be cross-trained across three production departments, working within close-knit cells of 12–15 employees, giving you variety, learning opportunities and strong team support. You’ll use hand tools, assembly jigs and test equipment to build and test products to exacting standards, contributing directly to world-class measurement technology.

Working hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7.00am – 3.45pm
  • Friday: 7.00am – 11.30am

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assembling (using soldering and wiring skills) and testing products to specified parameters
  • Recording build and test information accurately
  • Identifying, rejecting and recording non-conforming products
  • Carrying out quality inspection of your own work
  • Maintaining bench stock, tools and manufacturing aids
  • Using in-house PC systems (tablets for work instructions, and testing done via computer)
  • Working consistently to standard build times and quality expectations

We’re keen to speak with people who are:

  • Soldering and Wiring experience ideally
  • Previous experience in following work instructions/ electronic drawings
  • Dexterous with a great eye for detail and quality
  • Positive, friendly and reliable, with good communication skills
  • Tidy, practical and flexible in your approach

But if your experience comes from a hobby (electronics projects, model building, repairs, DIY, etc.) and you’re keen to learn, we still want to hear from you. Any experience with electromechanical assembly, test equipment, ISO9001 environments, or working to build instructions is a strong bonus – but training will be provided.

What’s On Offer

  • £24,800 per annum
  • 24 days annual leave + your birthday off
  • Company pension
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Free on-site parking
  • Structured training and cross-skilling across departments
