Meridian Business Support are working with a well-established, international manufacturing organisation to recruit a Junior Sales Executive. This role is ideal for someone with 1 to 3 years’ experience who is looking to develop a long-term career in sales, with clear progression and succession planning in place. This is a structured environment where you will be supported, developed and given exposure to both account management and business development within a high-volume FMCG setting.
As a Junior Sales Executive, you will play a key part in supporting revenue growth while building strong customer relationships across the UK market:
- Support the management of existing accounts, ensuring a responsive and professional service
- Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities through outbound activity and inbound leads
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, pricing requests and tenders
- Act as a key liaison between customers, production, logistics and internal teams
- Attend customer meetings, factory visits and industry events
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, sharing insights with the wider team
The Junior Sales Executive role is primarily focused on account management, with an approximate 80:20 split between existing business and new business activity.
To be successful in this Junior Sales Executive role, you will bring:
- 1 to 3 years’ sales experience ideally within plastics or another high-volume FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, with exposure to ERP systems desirable
- A proactive approach with the motivation to develop a long-term career in sales
- A degree in a related field is desirable but not essential.
