We’re looking for a qualified Electrician to join a well-established facilities team on a permanent basis. You’ll support a high-profile customer across sites in Hove and London, with great long-term prospects and an excellent benefits package.
The role involves:
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Keeping sites safe and compliant.
- Providing excellent service to everyone in the buildings.
Location & travel: Most weeks you’ll be based in Hove around 4 days, with 1 day (or as needed) supporting several sites in London. You’ll also join a South East on‑call rota.

What you’ll be doing:
- Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works across the Hove and London sites.
- Diagnose faults quickly and carry out safe, compliant repairs.
- Support statutory compliance checks, documentation and permit‑to‑work processes.
- Deliver excellent customer service to site users and visitors.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and colleagues to ensure work is completed right first time.
- Help maintain high Health & Safety standards on every job and challenge unsafe behaviours.
- Be flexible for occasional overtime and participate in the on‑call rota.
What you’ll need:
Essential:- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition wiring regulations.
- LV Authorised Person (LVAP) or willing to achieve quickly (if not already held).
- Strong fault‑finding and maintenance experience (ideally within facilities/building services).
- Good knowledge of compliance, safe systems of work and Health & Safety best practice.
- Comfortable using tablets/IT systems to log jobs and reports (CAFM experience a plus).
- Clear communication, customer‑focused approach and a team mindset.
- Able to take part in an on‑call rota, occasional overtime and required vetting.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Hove and London.
- Test & Inspection (2391 or equivalent).
- PASMA and/or IPAF.
- Good awareness of mechanical plant and building services.
Benefits:
- Salary: £48,639
- Overtime: x1.5 – Midweek / Saturday and x2 – Sunday and Bank Holidays
- On‑call rota: 1 week every 4 weeks on call. 5pm to 8am £125 per month paid + overtime rates paid for time spent onsite during call outs.
