We are recruiting HGV Shunter Drivers to join a leading logistics operation in Rugby on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering regular 4 on / 4 off shifts, with fixed days or nights (no rotation) – giving you excellent work‑life balance and predictable hours.
As a Shunter Driver, you’ll play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly, safely moving trailers and supporting the yard operation.
Key Responsibilities- Safely move and position trailers across the yard
- Carry out pre‑use safety and compliance checks
- Report any defects, damage, or incidents promptly
- Maintain a clean, organised yard environment
- Support site safety by monitoring driving standards and speed compliance
- Undertake general warehouse duties including picking and loading/unloading containers
- Valid HGV Class 1 or Shunter licence
- Previous yard or shunting experience (preferred but not essential – full training provided)
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to complete a basic DBS check
- Competitive salary: £32,376 – £35,157
