Production Operative £16.40 per hour | 3-Months with Potential Extension | Rotating Days & Nights | Tadcaster (LS24)
Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Production Operative to join a leading drinks manufacturer in Tadcaster. Offering an excellent hourly rate, structured training and the opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract, this is a great opportunity for candidates with FMCG, food production or manufacturing experience.
As a Production Operative, you will support the bottling and packaging operation, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Keeping manufacturing lines supplied with materials and packaging
- Carrying out quality checks and recording results accurately
- Using digital systems to record production data
- Moving materials and finished products across the site
- Supporting housekeeping, cleaning and basic machine maintenance activities
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Shift Pattern Panama shift rotation:
- 2 on / 2 off, then 3 on / 3 off
- Days: 06:00 - 18:00
- Nights: 18:00 - 06:00
- Rotating days and nights
To be considered for this Production Operative role, you should have:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Process Operator or similar
- FMCG, food manufacturing or drinks manufacturing experience
- Experience working on fast‑paced production lines
- Knowledge of quality control procedures
- Confidence using digital production systems
- Good mechanical awareness
- IOSH or relevant health and safety training is advantageous
- Understanding of TPM, WCM or DMAIC continuous improvement methods would be beneficial
- A positive, solution-focused attitude and strong team‑working skills
