Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (QS)

£60,000 per annum + van + fuel card + overtime | London, all projects within the M25 | Full-time, Permanent | ASAP start

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to join our valued client’s growing Electrical Operations Team.

This is a senior technical role requiring strong expertise in electrical inspection and testing, EICRs, remedial works, certification review, and regulatory compliance.

As the company’s appointed NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, you will ensure all electrical work is completed to the highest standards and fully complies with BS 7671, Building Regulations, certification body requirements, and company procedures.

You will provide technical leadership, support operational teams, and help maintain quality, safety, and compliance across live and completed projects.

This opportunity would suit a technically strong electrical professional with a background in commercial or electrical compliance environments, who is confident managing engineers, auditing workmanship, and approving electrical certification.

The Role

  • Act as the company’s NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, ensuring electrical installations, inspection, and testing activities are completed in line with current regulations and company standards.
  • Oversee testing programmes and support project delivery teams across live and completed projects.
  • Monitor installation quality through regular site audits, inspections, and technical reviews.
  • Review and approve electrical certification, ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed on time.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to electricians, testing engineers, supervisors, and operational teams.
  • Identify compliance risks, support remedial action plans, and help maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and safety.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Extensive experience in electrical inspection, testing, and compliance.
  • Previous experience as a Qualifying Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, or Senior Testing Electrician.
  • Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience reviewing, validating, and signing off electrical certification.
  • Proven background in EICRs, remedial works, and fault-finding.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing, or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • AM2, or equivalent industry qualification.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous NICEIC Qualified Supervisor experience.
  • SSSTS, SMSTS, or IOSH qualification.
  • Experience managing teams of electricians and testing engineers.
