Meridian Business Support are working with a respected care provider to recruit a Dementia Lead Nurse for a specialist dementia unit in Leeds (LS20). This is a great fit for an experienced RMN or RGN ready to step into a leadership role while remaining clinically involved.
The role:
- Oversee the day-to‑day running of a dementia care unit, ensuring safe and effective service delivery
- Leadership role within a well‑supported dementia unit
- Hands‑on care with real impact on residents’ quality of life
- Plan, implement and evaluate person‑centred care for residents with complex needs
- Administer medication safely and maintain accurate electronic care records
- Carry out risk assessments, audits, and care reviews in line with compliance standards
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Lead, mentor and support care staff through supervision and appraisals
Skills and experience required:
- Active NMC registration (RGN or RMN) with a valid PIN
- Experience in dementia care, ideally in a senior or unit manager capacity
- Strong communication and leadership skills
