This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cable jointer looking for a more stable, local role with no weekend work and a real work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, hands‑on training in cable jointing and electrical distribution
- Support the design and development of industry‑leading training programmes
- Assess learners against national occupational standards and qualification frameworks
- Provide coaching, feedback and support throughout the learner journey
- Ensure all training meets current health & safety legislation and industry standards
- Work closely with internal teams and external clients to meet training needs
- Maintain training equipment and ensure a high‑quality learning environment
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electricity distribution/transmission cable jointing
- City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- LV Jointing authorisation (current or previously held)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work towards an assessor qualification (fully supported)
- Experience with 11kV / HV jointing
- Assessing or training experience
- Teaching or assessor qualifications (e.g. A1, D32/33, PTLLS)
- Health & safety certifications (IOSH, NEBOSH)
- £50,000 salary
