The Role
As Clinical Lead, you will support the Home Manager in maintaining the highest standards of clinical care, governance, and compliance throughout the home. You will provide leadership and guidance to the nursing and care teams, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing. You will also play a key role in driving quality improvements, supporting regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive culture within the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the nursing team to deliver exceptional standards of clinical care.
- Promote best practice and ensure care delivery remains compliant with all regulatory and company requirements.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to nurses and care staff.
- Support the Home Manager in maintaining strong clinical governance and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct audits and monitor clinical performance, implementing improvements where required.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support safeguarding processes and ensure concerns are managed appropriately and effectively.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to staff development through coaching, supervision, and ongoing training.
- Act as a role model for professionalism, clinical excellence, and person‑centred care.
About You
- Active NMC registration with relevant post‑registration experience.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring nursing teams.
- Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- A good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, DoLS, audits, and clinical governance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and proactive leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- A genuine passion for delivering high‑quality care and improving resident outcomes.
