Meridian are looking to recruit an Accounts Administrator on behalf of one of our local logistics clients. This vacancy is a permanent part-time role, 20 hours per week split over 4 or 5 days with an option to grow as the business grows/accounts function requires. The only day we insist on is Monday.
25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays (pro rata). Salary £14.15 - £16.41 per hour. Overtime additional at normal rate. Ideally suited to someone with accountancy experience. AAT qualifications are an advantage but not critical to the role where the focus is on attention to detail and organisational skills. Must be able to fit into a team/office environment that is fun but hard-working.
Responsibilities:
- Print invoices from admin email inbox and distribute accordingly
- Sea-freight reconciliation spreadsheet
- Invoice export files
- Recharge invoices
- Freight forwarding sales and purchase
- Process purchase invoices and enter onto Sage
- New suppliers
- Request supplier statements and reconcile (15th and end of month payments)
- Order stationery and consumables
- Supplier payments
- Help with other admin duties
- Fire Marshall
- Additional tasks
- Arrange for boiler servicing and PAT testing
- Carbon footprint spreadsheet
- Arrange CCTV, fire alarm, intruder alarms inspections
