Assistant Grower – 4 days per week, £12.71 per hour, Part‑time, from 1‑April to 30‑September 2026.

Location: Radford Mill Farm, Radford near Bristol & Bath.

Responsibilities:

  • The Assistant Grower will work as part of a small team responsible for vegetable and orchard production, under the instruction of the Head Grower.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of organic vegetable production including propagation, polytunnel work, tractor‑based field‑scale production, and the pack room, along with some infrastructure and maintenance activities.

About the Farm:

Radford Mill Farm is an organic farm of 115 acres with multiple business enterprises and has been certified organic for 45 years. It focuses on biodiversity, soil health and producing delicious food for the local community. In 2026 it will include 700 m² of polytunnel production, 1 acre of market garden production, 5 acres of tractor‑based field production, an apple orchard and agroforestry system, plus a juicing operation for apple juice and cider vinegar. Produce is sold through the farm shop in Bristol and other outlets, with a box scheme under expansion. The farm also raises turkeys for Christmas, has a small flock of sheep, and leases land or workshops to other businesses; it runs events such as catering for music festivals, parties, weddings and camps.
