We are excited to be advertising for a Teacher of KS3 Performing Arts (Music & Drama) to secure progress for our students through the provision of high‑quality teaching and learning.

BFS is part of Russell Education Trust, a multi‑academy trust comprising of 1 primary and 5 secondary schools spread across South England, facilitating best practice and shared practice across the schools, blended with local partnership working.

• an enthusiastic teacher with a passion for Performing Arts
• someone with a good understanding of relevant curriculum areas, including a good understanding of assessment and monitoring procedures
• experience of teaching or teaching practice of Music & Drama at Key Stage 3
• a willingness to learn and apply new techniques that contribute to high‑quality teaching and learning
• a teacher who expects and demonstrates the highest standards
• a teacher who can enthuse a range of students with varying needs

As the contract is 0.6 FTE, there is flexibility around the working pattern. Applicants who can teach only one specialism are welcome to apply. BFS celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.

The postholder will be required to undergo criminal, teacher status, qualification, medical and reference checks as part of the recruitment process and must be willing to participate in further training as the job requires.
