Location: Bristol, UK. Work mode: On-site. Team: Web Dev, part of Bristol Formula Student AI (FSAI).
Team Description
Bristol Formula Student AI (FSAI) is the University of Bristol’s autonomous racing team, competing in the Formula Student AI competition.
We design, build, and race fully autonomous vehicles, integrating advanced AI, robotics, and real‑world engineering systems.
The Web Dev team maintains the public website and supports internal tools that help the team communicate, recruit, and showcase our work.
Job Description
You will take a leading role in maintaining and improving the website you are building right now.
You will work closely with team leads to publish news, events, and recruitment updates while keeping the site fast and polished.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the FSAI website and internal web tooling.
- Build new pages and features for events, posts, and opportunities using Next. js and Tailwind CSS.
- Ensure the site remains fast, accessible, responsive, and consistent in design.
- Collaborate with subteams to publish updates and media.
Qualifications
- University of Bristol student in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and Java Script/Type Script.
- Familiarity with React or Next. js.
- Comfortable using Git for collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail and design consistency.
Desirable
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and responsive design.
- Familiarity with Markdown content workflows.
- Basic understanding of SEO and accessibility best practices.
- Experience deploying or maintaining web apps.
