A newly created role for a Creative Lead who can up the ante for this scale-up business and who can drive bold, original visual storytelling to transform how the brand connects with people. You’re full of ideas, and you care about how they land. You think in concepts, sweat the detail and get irritated when work feels obvious or undercooked.
This role gives you real responsibility for creative direction, spanning strategy, design and brand, with the freedom to set standards rather than inherit them. The job isn’t to look after what’s already there, it’s to improve it. You’ll shape campaigns and content from the ground up, challenge briefs that aren’t good enough, and make sure the work is clear, confident and well-judged. The focus is on strong ideas, well executed. Work that feels human, distinctive and worth paying attention to.
This is a strategic, high-impact position for someone who blends creative energy with razor-sharp thinking. You’ll be the driving force behind campaigns that capture hearts and imaginations, shaping a brand identity that’s brave, bold, emotionally resonant, and culturally relevant. From high-level concepts to hands-on execution, your ideas will help shape the voice and vision of an organisation ready to stand out and stand for something.
Required skills:- You’ll be a mix of creative genius and brand guardian, leading the creative strategy and execution, taking campaigns, messaging and brand identity to the next level.
- You’ll be brave, bold and understand how to connect emotionally with an audience.
- Using data and insights to produce creative that people will remember and feel connected to.
- Working across multi-channels – brand, video, partnerships and performance.
- Creative strategy or creative direction experience from agency or client-side.
- It’s important to know that initially the role will be hands-on in terms of delivering the creative but one of your first objectives will be to recruit a designer who you will then mentor and manage.
- Enjoy mentoring teams.
- Experience of using data and insight to create compelling strategies & concepts – it’s important that you can demonstrate this in your past experience.
- Purpose driven, and highly conceptual, brimming with ideas.
- A passion for creating ideas and stories that resonate with people.
- Bold and brave – but without the ego. Convention-challengers encouraged.
- You’ll be attending the office once a week – this is essential so you should live within easy commute of Bristol.
