We are looking for a Senior Reablement Support Assistant to join an established team within the city-wide Reablement Service.
Responsibilities
- You will be part of the process that supports people to leave hospital earlier, after an illness or fall which has affected their confidence and ability to carry out the activities of daily living.
- You will work with people for a period of up to 42 days to promote their confidence and maximise their independence.
- You will supervise reablement support assistants and manage the care element of the service users’ time with the service.
Requirements
- Experience in providing care to vulnerable adults in the community.
- NVQ/QCF level 3 or equivalent qualification, or willingness to undertake training while in the role.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to supervise, motivate staff and complete assessments and set/review goals with service users in their homes.
- Flexible response to changing needs, able to work effectively as part of a team and without direct supervision.
- Competent/confident in using and supporting the use of technology, including data entry.
- A valid driving licence, access to a motorised vehicle, and willingness to obtain relevant vehicle business insurance.
- Will comply with Bristol Clean Air Zone regulations.
- Enhanced DBS Check required.
