Roofer (Response Repairs) x3 – Bristol City Council
Full Time, Permanent
Bristol City Council’s Housing & Landlord Services are recruiting Roofing Operatives to join the Responsive Repairs team. The Response Repairs Team focuses on delivering high quality, cost effective responsive repairs to a large variety of properties amongst our 28,000 homes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, install, maintain and repair all types of roofing systems across the housing stock.
- Install, maintain and repair fascia, soffits and rainwater systems.
- Apply a good understanding of building pathology, especially related to roofing hazards, defects and their causes.
- Work methodically, with commitment, accountability and a can-do attitude, contributing to continuous improvement within set timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification in a relevant field, with practical experience in roofing or equivalent knowledge and skill demonstrated through significant experience in pitched and flat roofing systems.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to communicate with citizens and provide complex information in accurate spoken English (or via a BSL interpreter).
