Bristol City Council’s Housing & Landlord Services are currently recruiting Plasterers to join our Responsive Repairs team. The Response Repairs Team focuses on delivering high quality, cost effective responsive repairs to a large variety of properties amongst our 28000 homes.

We are seeking to employ enthusiastic and motivated plasterers to join our response general trades team. Within this role you will carry out all types of plastering and rendering throughout our housing stock as well as tiling and plaster-boarding.

This role requires a good understanding of building pathology, especially when related to building hazards, defects, and their causes. The successful candidate should be methodical and enquiring. The role requires commitment, accountability, and a can-do attitude, where going the extra mile is normal practise. We are always looking for continuous improvement in our delivery of this essential service, working within dedicated timelines and budgets. The role is varied, fast paced, challenging, rewarding and delivers job and customer satisfaction.

You will hold a trade qualification in a relevant field, plus a further period of relevant practical experience or equivalent knowledge and skill demonstrated from significant and relevant experience in plastering and rendering with extensive professional trade experience.

You will also hold a full driving licence. The post requires a moderate level of fluency. You must have the ability to converse with citizens and provide complex information in accurate spoken English, or through a BSL interpreter.
