The South West Regional Investigation Team is a government funded team based in Bristol working across the South West region. Working in close partnership with Local Authority Trading Standards Services and partner enforcement agencies, the team specialises in taking action against those committing consumer fraud and supporting local Trading Standards enforcement activities.

Working in close partnership with Local Authority Trading Standards Services and partner enforcement agencies, the team specialises in taking action against those committing consumer fraud and supporting local Trading Standards enforcement activities.
This is your opportunity to join a highly skilled and motivated team of specialist investigators. Working across the region you will play a key role in the effective investigation of cross-border consumer fraud.
With a strong team ethic and a proven track record of conducting complex investigations, you will need to possess the necessary skills and experience to act and lead on investigations across Trading Standards responsibilities including doorstep crime and e-crime. This will often include working with the Police, HMRC, and other regulatory partners.
As a confident communicator you will be skilled in developing relationships with partner agencies, able to assimilate large volumes of information and draft prosecution reports in coherent fashion.
A highly flexible approach to work is required as deployment throughout the region may be required as too is the need to work weekends and evenings when required.
A Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Check will be required together with Police Enhanced Vetting (NPPV2)
