Location: Based at 100 Temple Street & home working by agreement

Are you passionate about housing and homelessness issues? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team who is interested in homelessness issues, has good IT, liaison and co-ordination skills, and ideally, experience in working with referral or placement accommodation registers.

The focus of this role is to help improve the interface and communication between commissioned temporary accommodation, support services for homeless households and the referral routes/operational aspects of our Housing Support Register.

Based within Housing Options, you will work closely with members of the Commissioning and Contracts team & the team that administers the Housing Support Register and other key stakeholders. You will also assist in working collectively to create more fluid, efficient and outcome focused processes to ensure that data inputting is accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the interface and communication between commissioned temporary accommodation, support services for homeless households and the referral routes/operational aspects of the Housing Support Register.
  • Work within Housing Options and closely with the Commissioning and Contracts team & the Housing Support Register team and other key stakeholders to create more fluid, efficient and outcome focused processes to ensure accurate data inputting.
  • In a typical week, visit a commissioned provider to discuss possible improvements to how sensitive client information is recorded and shared.
  • Run a training session for new users of the Housing Support Register.
  • Clarify with operational colleagues on commissioning intentions in terms of referrals to a particular service and look at technical solutions to improving how rough sleeper information can be analysed.
  • Be confident working with spreadsheets and placement data, and communicate effectively to compliment training skills.

  • Good IT, liaison and co-ordination skills.
  • Experience in working with referral or placement accommodation registers (preferred).
  • Very confident working with spreadsheets and placement data.
  • Good written and verbal communication and training skills.
